Homeopathy is a holistic system of healthcare that views each person as an individual. Rather than focusing solely on a diagnosis or set of symptoms, it considers the whole person and the way their physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing interact.
No two people experience illness in exactly the same way. Even when individuals share the same diagnosis, their symptoms, triggers, responses, and overall experience can be very different. For this reason, homeopathic treatment is tailored to the individual rather than the condition alone.
During a consultation, I take time to understand not only your symptoms but also your medical history, emotional wellbeing, and the factors that influence your health. This helps me select a remedy that not only matches your unique experience and presentation but is prescribed according to the principles of the minimum dose. This means your remedy will be chosen at a potency and frequency attuned to your needs.
Homeopathic treatment provides personalised support that recognises the individuality of each person and their journey towards better health and wellbeing.
Homeopathy can support a wide range of health concerns, whether they are new, recurring, or long-standing. It is also used as supportive care in more complex or advanced conditions, including end-of-life care.
In my clinic I have treated a wide variety of health issues. I have supported people experiencing concerns such as eczema, seasonal allergies, digestive problems, menopause, back and joint pain, osteoarthritis, insomnia, stress, grief and loss, urinary tract infections, among many other concerns.
Homeopathic remedies are prepared from natural substances including plants, minerals, and other naturally occurring materials. These are processed using a structured method of serial dilution and succussion (vigorous shaking), known as potentisation.
Remedies are produced under strict pharmaceutical manufacturing standards, ensuring consistent quality, hygiene, and safety throughout the preparation process. This includes regulated methods for sourcing, preparation, and dispensing.
They are usually supplied as small lactose-based pills (globules), liquid drops, or tablets, and are taken orally.
I will provide comprehensive and clear instruction on how and when to administer your remedy.
Homeopathy is not a substitute for emergency medical care. If you have urgent or serious symptoms, please seek appropriate medical attention.
Homeopathy is safe to use during pregnancy under the guidance of a qualified homeopath.
Remedies supplied in liquid form or at higher potencies, may be prepared and stored in an alcohol-based solution. If this is a concern for health, personal, or religious reasons, please let me know. In most cases, remedies can be adapted or dispensed in an alternative form that is suitable for children and for those who prefer to avoid alcohol.
This varies from client to client and is dependent on many factors including how long you have been experiencing your symptoms.
As a general rule, an initial consultation will require a follow-up appointment to assess the action of the remedy and to make any adjustments to the remedy or potency.
Follow-up consultations occur 5-6 weeks after your initial consultation, unless otherwise recommended.
For acute care it is usual to have one or two appointments. For longer and more chronic health conditions, then you can expect to need more regular follow-up care; this will be discussed at your appointment.
Please note that the in-person clinic is located on the first floor and requires the use of a flight of stairs. If you have mobility or access difficulties, a home visit within the Leeds area can be arranged. Otherwise, an online appointment will be necessary.
